Gas Sampler Handy, battery powered light weight instrument designed for indoor and outdoor air sampling to assess the levels of atmospheric pollution. The instrument is suitable for sampling gases such as SO2, NOX, Fluorides, Ozone, NH3, CO, CO2, etc., and suspended particles or dust. In class-room teaching it is used to demonstrate the methods of gas sampling and efficiency of various absorbing reagents for different flow rates and gases. Being self contained and portable, gas samples can be easily taken from any location, such as underground mines, cinema halls, road sides, working areas and sheds of chemical plants, remote forests and hilly areas and other places of interest. The instrument consists of a miniature, high speed diaphragm pump running on 6 volts D.C. power pack or 230 V A.C. mains. The flow rate of air is measured by a rotameter calibrated in liters per minute. Required flor rate is obtained by the flow control assembly. Power unit has a rechargeable, maintenance free, 6 Volts battery with charger. The instrument cabinet is made of light weight, anodised alumimum sheet with hard powder coating to resist the corrosive atmosphere. Rotameter and three glass impingers are mounted on the front panel for easy working. All the controls are provided of the top side. The instrument is supplied complete with rechargeable power pack, battery charger, three glass impingers and a foam leather carrying case. Technical Specifications:
